This opportunity, located within reach of Canton and Waynesville, NC, is ideal for an SLP passionate about direct service in educational environments, offering both flexibility and the chance to put your skills to work with a pediatric caseload.
As an SLP in this role, you’ll deliver essential therapy services to students, working 20-25 hours per week, with potential for additional hours. Whether you hold your CCC or are completing your CFY, this position allows you to develop your expertise alongside other professionals in in-person and teletherapy capacities.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates considered
- Experience in schools, pediatrics, or teletherapy settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Deliver direct therapy services, both in-person and via teletherapy, as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation for student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
