Step into an impactful opportunity helping preschool and elementary students by providing essential speech-language support over the coming fall semester. This contract role is conveniently based near Canton, OH, with the ability to arrange your schedule across different schools as needed for both flexibility and a varied work environment.
Two distinct coverage areas are needed: For the preschool assignment, you’ll dedicate one day each week to conducting evaluations and three to four days focused on direct classroom support. An additional opportunity is available for a therapist to provide speech-language services (excluding evaluations) to preschool and elementary-aged students, making this a dynamic role tailored to your strengths.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license for Ohio and ASHA CCC required
- Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with preschool and elementary-aged children
- Able to travel between assigned school sites as needed
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations (for the specified day) and create reports for preschool students
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services, targeting individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain detailed therapy documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings as required by the school team
