We’re seeking a dedicated SLP Diagnostician for a short-term assignment from April 22nd to May 28th, working primarily with preschoolers in a child find program, with some involvement supporting school-aged students as well. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during a critical evaluation period.
What we’re seeking:
- Active SLP licensure with either Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Minimum of 3 years of school-based speech-language pathology experience
- Proficiency evaluating and diagnosing communication disorders in pediatric and school-aged populations
- Familiarity with child find procedures and early intervention
- Commitment to ethical, student-centered care and strong collaboration skills with parents and educational staff
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations for infants, preschoolers, and some school-aged children, focusing on identification and diagnosis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessments, providing recommendations for eligibility and next steps
- Document assessment results clearly and accurately within established timelines
- Support compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines regarding special education evaluations
- Communicate findings and recommendations to families and educational professionals
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts for students
