A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to cover a maternity leave starting mid-March through the end of the school year in a school setting located in Carrollton, MO. This role offers a balanced work schedule within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to an Early Childhood caseload of approximately 32 students.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs.
- For SLPs: supervise and mentor the SLPA on staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student goals and needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as an SLP with CCC, current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible, or qualified SLPA with experience in school or healthcare settings.
- Experience or interest in pediatric populations.
- Ability to provide therapy and supervision within a school-based model.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work 4 days per week with possible half day on Wednesday, supporting 6.5-hour workdays.
