Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity in Carthage, MO (Contract)
A school-based contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support student communication and language development in a dynamic educational setting in Carthage, Missouri. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language therapy services to diverse student populations to promote academic success and social communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in small groups and individual settings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to support students’ communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational and state standards
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation on speech and language development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working within a school environment preferred
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders as related to educational settings
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
