Desired qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure in New York State (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms a plus
- Comfort working individually and within IEP (Individualized Education Program) teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on speech, language, articulation, voice, and fluency
- Collaborate closely with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student IEP goals
- Provide both in-person and remote therapy sessions as needed
- Maintain detailed progress notes, reports, and documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Participate in parent meetings, case conferences, and staff development activities
