Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans to address students’ unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicate progress, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Document student performance, maintain accurate records, and comply with district guidelines
- Deliver therapy individually or in small groups within classroom or resource settings
- Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding speech and language development
