As a contract SLP, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, using your specialized skills to make a positive and measurable difference in the academic and personal lives of your students.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid state Speech-Language Pathology license and required SLP certification
- Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education procedures
- Ability to develop age-appropriate treatment plans and interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, teachers, and families
- Organized, adaptable, and committed to evidence-based clinical practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Partner with classroom teachers and support staff to implement effective strategies that support students’ communication needs
- Develop and review IEPs while documenting progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Support families by providing resources and coaching related to speech-language development
- Engage in regular team meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary approaches to student support
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
