Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs through formal and informal evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
  • Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, within the school setting
  • Document student progress; prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate outcomes to parents and team members
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to facilitate student inclusion and achievement
  • Deliver in-services or training as needed to educate others about speech and language development
