Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs through formal and informal evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, within the school setting
- Document student progress; prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate outcomes to parents and team members
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to facilitate student inclusion and achievement
- Deliver in-services or training as needed to educate others about speech and language development
