Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Centreville, MD

Make an impact supporting students in their communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for a contract position in an elementary school setting. This rewarding opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year with a schedule of 35 hours per week, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will provide 60 service hours per month and collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support students’ growth and progress.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Maryland SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience within Maryland school systems is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with elementary-aged students (PreK-5th grade)
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus, although onsite work is preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
• Manage a caseload to provide 60 service hours monthly
• Complete evaluations, assessments, and progress reports within required timelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and other educational professionals
• Adapt therapy methods for individual and group sessions, ensuring flexible support of diverse student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation for all therapies performed
