School Speech Language Pathologist - Centreville, MD

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but CFY candidates will be considered
• Previous experience working in a school environment is beneficial
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to develop rapport with students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students referred for speech and language concerns
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school procedures and state/federal regulations
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services, both individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress and share resources
• Maintain accurate, timely records of services and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Incorporate evidence-based practices and flexible intervention strategies
