This contract position in Ceres, CA offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a school setting. The role focuses on assessing and treating students with speech and language disorders to support their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students experiencing speech and language challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions aimed at improving communication skills.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, counselors, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
- Involve and educate families to foster supportive home environments that enhance therapy effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for engaging with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in California.
