Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing measurable goals and student progress
- Provide counseling, guidance, and advocacy for students and their families regarding communication needs
- Deliver support in both group and one-on-one settings
