Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid or pending NM state (NMRLD) license and NMPED (NMPED can be in pending status by the start date)
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
  • Experience working with school-aged children and/or pediatric caseloads is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy to students according to their IEPs, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Caseload sizes are designed to be reasonable, with specific preferences based on your experience and interest discussed during the interview process
