Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid or pending NM state (NMRLD) license and NMPED (NMPED can be in pending status by the start date)
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children and/or pediatric caseloads is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy to students according to their IEPs, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Caseload sizes are designed to be reasonable, with specific preferences based on your experience and interest discussed during the interview process
