Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- State licensure, or eligibility for state licensure, as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly valued
- Previous school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop customized therapy plans targeting each student’s unique goals
- Deliver engaging interventions in-person or via teletherapy to support improvement in communication and swallowing abilities
- Monitor student progress, adjust intervention strategies, and maintain thorough records
- Educate students, families, and caregivers on effective communication support techniques
- Partner with teachers, staff, and fellow healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care
