This role calls for an enthusiastic speech-language pathologist ready to make a meaningful difference in both McBride and Millikan Specialized Healthcare programs, as well as Mild/Moderate SDC classrooms. With 32 hours per week, you'll have the chance to collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student communication and learning outcomes.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current California SLP license or eligibility (CFY or CCC credentials accepted)
- Solid understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate needs
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to independently manage a caseload; SLPA not required
- Confident communicator with students, families, and school staff
- Skilled in evidence-based intervention strategies and documentation
- Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in specialized healthcare and mild/moderate SDC settings
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers and other service providers
- Consult and train school staff and families to reinforce carryover of speech/language goals
- Maintain organized documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
- Contribute to a positive learning environment through creative, student-centered approaches
