Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with mild to moderate needs in specialized school settings near Huntington Beach, CA. This role calls for an enthusiastic speech-language pathologist ready to make a meaningful difference in both McBride and Millikan Specialized Healthcare programs, as well as Mild/Moderate SDC classrooms. With 32 hours per week, you'll have the chance to collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student communication and learning outcomes.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current California SLP license or eligibility (CFY or CCC credentials accepted)
  • Solid understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate needs
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload; SLPA not required
  • Confident communicator with students, families, and school staff
  • Skilled in evidence-based intervention strategies and documentation
  • Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in specialized healthcare and mild/moderate SDC settings
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers and other service providers
  • Consult and train school staff and families to reinforce carryover of speech/language goals
  • Maintain organized documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment through creative, student-centered approaches
