This dynamic role focuses on providing essential speech and language services to a PreK–elementary caseload within a school-based setting, with immediate start through June 2023. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (or eligibility)
- Current or pending California state licensure
- Prior school-based experience is required
- Clinical Fellowship (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders encouraged to apply
- Experience with pediatrics or teletherapy valued
- SLPA candidates with substantial school experience will be considered
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and parent conferences
- Serve as a resource on speech and language topics for school staff and families
- Use innovative therapy approaches and technology, including teletherapy where needed
