A school district in Ithaca, NY is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a supportive, student-focused district with strong mentorship and collaborative teams.
Position Overview
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
- Onsite role serving PreK–12 students (assignment based on district needs)
- CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
- Full school-year contract with potential for renewal
Caseload Details
- Average caseload: 35–55 students (varies by building)
- Students with mild to moderate communication needs

Areas of service include:
- Articulation & phonological disorders
- Receptive/expressive language delays
- Social/pragmatic communication needs
- Fluency and voice disorders

Possible exposure to:
- Autism spectrum disorders
- AAC/assistive communication systems
- Early childhood and elementary populations

Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state requirements
New York State Requirements (SLP-CF)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for Initial Teaching Certification (Speech and Language Disabilities) through the New York State Education Department
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP
- Licensure through the New York State Office of the Professions
- Passing the Praxis exam typically required for certification/licensure
- Required fingerprinting and school clearance process
