Step into a rewarding and dynamic school environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow (CFY), providing dedicated support to K-5th grade students. With a manageable caseload of 25-30 students at a single, welcoming school, you’ll make a meaningful difference as a trusted resource for students, families, and staff alike. This fully contracted position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, giving you the chance to experience the impact of a complete academic year.
You’ll work a consistent schedule of 35.5 hours per week (8:25am–4:00pm), allowing you to build strong connections with your caseload across the school year. Benefit from a focused role within one supportive elementary campus, collaborating closely with a caring team and engaging in new staff training (date to be determined).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois SLP license, or ability to obtain
- Open to SLP (CCC) or SLP-CFY candidates
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Familiarity with resource model delivery preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy in individual and small group settings
- Monitor and document student progress with accuracy and care
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in team meetings and staff development as scheduled
