Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) - 2026-27 School Year

A school district in Lawrence, KS is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a supportive, collaborative school environment with structured supervision.

Position Overview

• Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
• Onsite role serving PreK–12 students (assignment based on district needs)
• Supervision provided by a licensed SLP for CF completion
• Full school year contract with potential for renewal

Caseload Details

• Average caseload: 40–60 students (varies by building)
• Students with mild to moderate communication needs
• Areas of service include:
  • Articulation & phonological disorders
  • Receptive/expressive language delays
  • Social/pragmatic communication needs
  • Fluency and voice disorders
• Possible exposure to:
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • AAC/assistive technology users
  • Early childhood and elementary populations
• Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develop and implement IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain documentation and compliance

Kansas State Requirements (SLP-CF)

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Eligibility for Kansas Department of Education Speech-Language Pathologist licensure/certification through the Kansas State Department of Education
• Licensure through the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (professional SLP credentialing body)
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP
• Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure
• Required background checks (state and federal fingerprinting clearance)
