This contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who thrive in school settings and are eager to use their expertise to help students succeed. Work 32 hours per week at McBride/Millikan Specialized Healthcare, engaging primarily with students in mild to moderate Special Day Classes (SDC). Both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply. No SLPA support is required, offering you direct involvement with your caseload.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current California licensure as an SLP or eligibility to obtain
  • School setting experience (preferred), including assessments, therapy, and IEP participation
  • Eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY) or possessing CCC credentials
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently without SLPA support
  • Experience with mild to moderate student populations highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in specialized healthcare and SDCs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and document findings for each student
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, other related service providers, and families to foster student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative educational environment
