This contract position near Los Angeles, CA offers the opportunity to work with mild/moderate Special Day Classes (SDC) and Child Development Center (CDC) settings, fostering students’ progress and communication skills. With a schedule of 32 hours per week, this role is ideal for passionate and dedicated speech-language pathologists looking to further their experience in schools.

Qualifications:

  • Current or pending California Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Acceptance of SLP candidates with CCC or CFY credentials; school-based experience is a plus
  • Knowledge or experience working with mild/moderate SDC and CDC populations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and in-depth evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication needs for students within the mild/moderate SDC and CDC environments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and IEP goals
  • Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings as a knowledgeable team member
  • Support a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
