A school district in New Haven, CT is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a diverse, urban school setting with structured supervision and collaborative support.

Position Overview

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
  • Onsite role serving PreK–12 students (assignment based on district needs)
  • CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
  • Full school year contract with potential for renewal

Caseload Details

  • Average caseload: 40–60 students (varies by school site)
  • Diverse student population across general and special education
  • Areas of service include:
    • Articulation & phonological disorders
    • Receptive/expressive language delays
    • Social/pragmatic communication needs
    • Fluency and voice disorders
  • Higher likelihood of exposure to:
    • Autism spectrum disorders
    • AAC/assistive communication devices
    • Multilingual/English learner populations
  • Responsibilities:
    • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
    • Develop and implement IEP goals
    • Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
    • Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state guidelines

Connecticut State Requirements (SLP-CF)

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility for the Connecticut Initial Educator Certificate (Speech-Language Pathologist) through the Connecticut State Department of Education
  • Completion of supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP
  • Licensure through the Connecticut Department of Public Health
  • Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure 
Compensation for this position ranges from $36.41 to $56.41. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
