Key Qualifications:

  • Current or pending New Mexico NMRLD and NMPED licensure by start date
  • Experience or interest working in school-based, pediatric, or clinical fellowship (CFY) settings
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse student caseload, with specific age group preferences considered during the interview process
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and collaborating with other school professionals and families
  • Participate in staff meetings, contribute to IEP meetings, and support student success in both educational and social contexts
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with state and district requirements
