A school district in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This role offers strong mentorship, a supportive special education team, and hands-on experience across diverse school settings.

Position Overview

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
  • Onsite role serving PreK–12 students (assignment based on district need)
  • CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
  • Full school year contract with potential for renewal

Caseload Details

  • Average caseload: 40–60 students (varies by building)
  • Students with mild to moderate communication needs
  • Common areas of service include:
    • Articulation & phonological disorders
    • Receptive/expressive language delays
    • Social/pragmatic communication needs
    • Fluency and voice disorders
  • Possible exposure to:
    • Autism spectrum disorders
    • AAC/assistive communication systems
    • Early childhood and elementary populations
  • Responsibilities:
    • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
    • Develop and implement IEP goals
    • Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
    • Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state guidelines

Nebraska State Requirements (SLP-CF)

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility for Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Certificate (Speech-Language Pathologist) through the Nebraska Department of Education
  • Eligibility for licensure through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship year under a licensed SLP
  • Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure
  • Required background checks (state and federal fingerprinting clearance)
