A school district in Rochester, NY is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a high-need, supportive urban school district with structured supervision and mentorship.

Position Overview

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week)
  • Onsite role serving PreK–12 students across assigned schools
  • CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
  • Full school-year contract with potential for renewal

Caseload Details

  • Average caseload: 40–65 students (varies by school assignment)
  • Diverse student population across general and special education settings
  • Areas of service include:
    • Articulation & phonological disorders
    • Receptive/expressive language delays
    • Social/pragmatic communication needs
    • Fluency and voice disorders
  • Likely exposure to:
    • Autism spectrum disorders
    • AAC/assistive communication devices
    • Multilingual and economically diverse populations
  • Responsibilities:
    • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
    • Develop and implement IEP goals
    • Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
    • Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state requirements

New York State Requirements (SLP-CF)

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility for Initial Teaching Certification (Speech and Language Disabilities) through the New York State Education Department
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP
  • Licensure through the New York State Office of the Professions
  • Passing the Praxis exam typically required for certification/licensure
  • Required fingerprinting and school clearance process

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.70 to $56.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
