Make a difference supporting students in specialized school programs focused on mild to moderate needs. This contract opportunity involves working across McBride and Millikan, where you'll contribute as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) within specialized healthcare and mild/moderate special day class (SDC) settings. With a 32-hour weekly schedule, this role is open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Holds or eligible for California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Open to both CCC-SLP and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
  • Previous experience in school-based SLP settings strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting mild to moderate disabilities in students
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Able to work independently across multiple school sites
  • Comfortable managing caseloads without SLPA assistance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students with mild to moderate needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct intervention services in classroom and pull-out settings
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to documentation and reporting
  • Travel between assigned school locations (McBride and Millikan) as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all state and district requirements
