This position offers the chance to make a real difference by providing direct speech and language services in a school setting. Work part-time across three days per week, for a total of 21 hours, collaborating with a dedicated team to foster student growth and communication skills.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current or eligible New York licensure as SLP (CCC/CFY) or SLPA
- Experience with school-aged children in middle and/or high school
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Comfort working in a school or healthcare environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Experience in pediatric, teletherapy, or healthcare settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy in-person to a diverse middle-high school caseload
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed documentation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEP goals
- Deliver therapy sessions individually or in small groups
- Consult with educational staff to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with families
