Step into a rewarding position supporting students in a middle to high school setting, where you’ll help young learners thrive through your expertise in speech-language pathology. This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule, working three days per week (21 hours) at a welcoming environment near Waterloo, NY. The focus is on empowering students to develop vital communication skills that enhance their classroom experience and overall well-being.

Your background could include any of the following specialties: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), school-based or healthcare SLP, pediatric and teletherapy experience, or an SLPA with school or healthcare exposure. Passion for student success, collaboration, and enthusiasm for face-to-face interaction are key in this role.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • State licensure as an SLP (CCC, CFY) or SLPA
  • Experience working with school-aged or pediatric populations
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation and school documentation
  • Ability to adapt interventions for diverse needs, including speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to work onsite and engage directly with students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for middle and high school students
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy tailored to student goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain detailed progress notes, contribute to IEP meetings, and support compliance
  • Utilize evidence-based practices in intervention and assessment
  • Foster a supportive, positive learning atmosphere
