Step into an exciting opportunity for a skilled SLP to make an impact supporting K-8 students during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role offers 35 hours each week, working with a diverse cross-categorical caseload. Collaborate with passionate educators near the Channahon, IL and Shorewood, IL areas to help students enhance their communication abilities and reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois SLP license and CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting, especially with K-8 students, is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage and effectively serve a cross-categorical caseload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for flexible caseload needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to K-8 students, targeting a broad spectrum of communication disorders
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
  • Maintain detailed session notes, progress reports, and corresponding documentation in a timely manner
  • Work in tandem with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate generalization of skills
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team consultations
  • Engage families as partners in the therapeutic process, providing strategies and progress updates
  • Support a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued
