This contract position is designed to provide crucial SLP services while the in-house SLP is on maternity leave from August through October. Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC required)
  • Prior experience providing SLP services in school settings, particularly with K-8 age groups
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs of diverse student populations
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing SLP caseload of students in grades K-8, ensuring continued therapy and support
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment programs for students with speech and language needs
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including IEP participation, progress notes, and assessments
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and the Special Education Coordinator to update on student progress
  • Support a smooth transition for students when the full-time SLP returns from leave
