A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school settings. This role is ideal for licensed professionals passionate about supporting students' communication and language development through comprehensive speech therapy services.

Location: Charleston, WV
Work Environment: School-based with travel requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students’ abilities and identify areas of need
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech sound disorders, language impairments, and other communication challenges
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and district policies
  • Provide consultative services to classroom teachers on communication strategies
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
  • Manage caseload effectively while accommodating travel between schools or facilities

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of language development and speech pathology principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to travel as required for service delivery
