Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chatham, IL

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students' communication growth in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time opportunity spans from March through the end of the school year, with an anticipated last day of May 21st (subject to schedule adjustments). You'll be joining a dedicated team, covering a leave, and making a real impact with a manageable caseload of 28 students ranging from Kindergarten through High School.

Key Details:

• Assignment anticipated to begin in early March (potential for slight adjustment based on leave date)
• Full-time, onsite position to best serve student needs, especially for those requiring Speech Generating Devices (SGDs)
• Primary caseload—28 students, 17 of whom utilize SGDs, primarily seen individually
• School calendar includes Spring Break (April 12-16) and a holiday break for Good Friday (March 25)
• Age range covers Kindergarteners to High School students

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active state licensure (Illinois) and current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous experience delivering school-based speech services, ideally with AAC/SGD exposure
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to collaborate across grade levels
• Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized therapy sessions

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct assessments and provide direct speech-language therapy for assigned caseload
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
• Support and instruct students in the effective use of SGDs
• Engage in regular communication with school staff and families
