SLPs in this assignment will work 35 hours per week during the school year. Assignments may involve serving one or multiple locations, with exact caseload details to be communicated as enrollment numbers finalize. Most placements have historically focused on elementary-aged students, providing support to a vibrant and diverse school community.

What you’ll bring:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Valid DOE certification as a school-based SLP
  • Previous experience supporting students in academic environments preferred
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability to serve varying needs across the district
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check as part of credentialing process

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized goals
  • Provide direct therapy and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy into academic programs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide thorough documentation
  • Support families and colleagues with strategies for ongoing student success
