Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure in Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CF candidates considered
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly desired
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Passion for fostering student growth, engagement, and functional communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document progress
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Consult and provide guidance to educational staff on effective communication strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school, local, and state requirements
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices
