Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP licensure in Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CF candidates considered
  • Prior experience in a school setting strongly desired
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Passion for fostering student growth, engagement, and functional communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and document progress
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
  • Consult and provide guidance to educational staff on effective communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school, local, and state requirements
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices
