Step into a rewarding contract position where you’ll have the opportunity to provide speech-language services to elementary-aged students throughout the full academic year until June 16th. This role is tailored for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make an impact in a dynamic school environment serving a diverse population of nearly 600 students.
Work alongside a collaborative team, including two SLP colleagues, and support a range of classrooms—three dedicated to preschool learners and two specialized for students with Autism/IDD. Make a meaningful difference every day while benefiting from a well-supported, engaging educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Washington State SLP licensure or eligibility required
- Open to experienced SLPs, Clinical Fellows (CFY), and SLP Assistants (SLPA) with school or healthcare backgrounds
- Experience with pediatric or elementary-aged populations preferred
- Comfort delivering services in both traditional and teletherapy settings
- Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and provide individualized speech and language therapy for students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, SLP colleagues, and special education staff to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation, develop IEP goals, and contribute to team meetings
- Work closely with families and caregivers to foster student communication goals at home and in school
- Adapt services to meet the needs of general education, preschool, and specialized Autism/IDD classrooms
