As a full-time school-based speech-language pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with a range of communication challenges. Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred, will consider Clinical Fellowship Year candidates (SLP-CFY)
- Previous experience in pediatric or K-12 settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Clinical expertise working with diverse disorders and populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in K-12 schools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate regularly with families and educational teams
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations as needed
