Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active and valid SLP state licensure (or the ability to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, open to strong Clinical Fellows (CFs)
  • Previous experience working with children or within a school setting is highly desirable
  • Proficient in evaluating and providing therapy for various communication and language disorders
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs using standardized tools
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy sessions in individual and group formats
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Keep accurate records and document student progress as per school and legal guidelines
  • Provide consultative support and resources to faculty and families to optimize students’ outcomes
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and special education
