Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid SLP license for Virginia (or the ability to obtain one prior to start).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) encouraged to apply.
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school setting preferred.
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and goal development.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support for students with various communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student progress and generalization of skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service logs in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required.
