School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Chesterton, Indiana

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows considered
• Previous experience in educational settings is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Ability to organize and manage caseload documentation efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, or communication disorders
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct therapeutic interventions both one-on-one and in groups
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and support personnel to maximize student outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
• Offer ongoing education and support for faculty and families regarding communication strategies
