Step into a meaningful role supporting students of varying ages and abilities in a dynamic school environment near Chicago Heights, IL. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to make a direct impact across a diverse student population. Your expertise will help provide much-needed speech and language services for students ages 3 to 21, ensuring every child’s communication needs are met.

This in-person position runs from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, with a commitment of 35 hours per week during the school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Illinois SLP license required
  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Previous experience working in a school setting highly preferred
  • Ability to adapt to working with students of varying ages and needs (3-21 years, depending on school assignment)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in alignment with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create optimal learning conditions
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Engage with families regarding student progress and therapy goals
