School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Chicago, Illinois

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), CCC required
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and manage diverse caseloads
• Passion for early childhood education and speech-language development

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to early childhood students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational staff to develop and implement IEPs.
• Conduct assessments, document student progress, and participate in team meetings.
• Consult with colleagues regarding effective intervention strategies.
• Support an inclusive and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Role Details:

• Part-time: 2.5 days per week, approximately 18 hours
• Focused on early childhood learners for the entire school year
• Two full-time SLP roles available as maternity leave coverage for elementary students, running August–October and August–December
