Qualifications & Preferred Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credential
- Illinois state licensure or eligibility
- Experience supporting pediatric populations in school-based or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress tracking, and report writing
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and digital documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Knowledge of best practices for students with complex communication needs
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to students aged 3-22 within a self-contained SPED program
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists
- Conduct evaluations, interpret results, and recommend appropriate services
- Participate actively in team meetings regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, services, and outcomes
- Support classroom integration and provide consultative guidance for effective communication strategies
