We’re seeking an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support an elementary caseload as part of a highly collaborative and encouraging team. This contract role offers a flexible schedule of 24-30 hours per week, providing an excellent opportunity to balance professional growth with personal commitments.
You’ll be instrumental in helping young learners reach their communication goals. The district is well-known for its supportive leadership and team-oriented atmosphere, ensuring that you have the resources you need to thrive. While bilingual abilities in Spanish are valued, they are not required for this position.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Illinois
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school environment
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in an elementary school setting
- Develop, update, and execute individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Engage positively with a team-oriented staff and administration
