Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Chicago, IL

Step into a rewarding school-based contract position designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking an impactful role. In this in-person opportunity near Chicago, you’ll work full-time (35 hours per week), providing crucial support to students ranging in age from 3 to 21. The assignment spans from August 19, 2026, to June 1, 2027, offering a stable and engaging school-year experience.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois SLP license is required
• Professional Educator License (PEL) must be current
• Previous experience as a school-based SLP is a plus
• Comfortable working with a diverse student population
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to in-person service delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to individual student needs
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
• Work closely with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school policies
• Support students across a range of ages, from early childhood to transition programs (3–21 years)
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment to promote student growth
