Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL

Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth near Chicago, IL. A highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist is needed to cover a school-based maternity leave assignment. You’ll collaborate with staff, students, and families while delivering quality therapy to 4th through 8th graders.

Enjoy a full-time schedule, working onsite only, from 8:15am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday. This role is set to begin September 14, 2026 and conclude December 16, 2026. Caseloads average 45-50 students, offering a dynamic and rewarding experience within a supportive educational environment.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Illinois SLP license/certification (CCC or CFY welcome)
• Strong pediatric and school-based experience highly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEPs and best practices for student-centered therapy
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Duties:

• Perform evaluations and deliver direct and indirect therapy to assigned students
• Develop, implement, and monitor goals and individualized treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families for optimal student outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records for all students
