Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with elementary-aged students in a dynamic, supportive setting near Chicago. This opportunity runs from August 17th through May 28th, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll be managing a caseload of approximately 55 students, all receiving services within resource or general education environments, allowing you to make a meaningful impact across diverse learning profiles.
As a valued professional in this setting, you’ll collaborate closely with dedicated educators, contribute to individualized education programs, and provide direct therapy to students eager to achieve their communication goals. This assignment is entirely on-site, ensuring you can connect and build relationships with students and colleagues throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience delivering therapy in a school environment, particularly with elementary students
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and tracking IEP goals
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Must be available for full-time hours (37.5/week), on-site only
- Capable of immediate interview and contract placement
Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments, develop plans of care, and provide direct speech/language therapy
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate student records
- Consult with teachers and families to support students’ needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff
