Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Chicago, IL

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Illinois state licensure as an SLP
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with experience serving bilingual populations
• Previous clinical or school-based experience with early childhood or preschool-aged children strongly preferred
• Proficiency in conducting both assessment and therapy in Spanish and English
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Passion for helping children improve their communication abilities in diverse settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to early childhood students in both Spanish and English
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Conduct bilingual evaluations and ongoing assessments to help identify students’ needs
• Develop and implement targeted therapy plans, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation
• Engage families in the therapy process to support carryover strategies at home and in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as needed
