Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL

Step into a vital school-based Speech-Language Pathologist role just outside of vibrant Chicago, IL! This contract opportunity, starting August 10, 2026, and running through October 30, 2026, offers you a chance to work with K-12th grade students in a dynamic educational setting. You’ll support learners across the spectrum, enhancing their communication skills and making a meaningful difference each day.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP-CCC certification required
• Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain Illinois SLP license
• Previous experience in a school setting with K-12 populations highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and adapting to changing student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
• Conduct assessments, create thorough evaluation reports, and develop targeted treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
• Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to foster student success
• Provide evidence-based interventions and adjust strategies according to individual goals
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise on student communication needs
