You’ll manage a manageable caseload of 15-20 students, supporting their communication and language development in a collaborative educational environment. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for Illinois or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and school-based documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, focusing primarily on grades 5-8 as part of a K-8 caseload
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and document all findings in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Attend team meetings and participate in staff training as scheduled
- Monitor student growth and maintain accurate records
